IB Wiki processes personal information as necessary to provide learning content, Question Bank and Ask & Learn features across all subjects.
1. Information we collect
- For email registration: your email address, encrypted authentication information and account identifiers
- For Google sign-in: basic profile information provided by Google, including account identifiers, email address, name and profile image
- Learning history, conversation history, access and error records, and administrative logs generated while using the service
- For paid subscriptions: customer, subscription and payment-status identifiers provided by Polar. IB Wiki does not directly store full card numbers.
- Usage and device information collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 5
IB Wiki does not directly collect or store your Google password.
2. How we use information
- Member identification, sign-in and account security
- Providing access and available learning features
- Providing learning history and Ask & Learn conversations
- Maintaining service stability, responding to errors and preventing misuse
3. Google user data
Google user data is used only for sign-in, account creation and identifying users within the service. It is not used for advertising sales or user profiling, and is not sold. IB Wiki uses Google user data in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.
4. Retention and service providers
Authentication and service data may be processed using cloud infrastructure such as Supabase to provide the service. Polar handles payment processing, invoicing and subscription management for paid subscriptions. Google Analytics is used for usage analytics (see section 5). Hosting, security, error analysis and AI response providers may process the minimum data necessary. Information is retained for account maintenance and for legally or operationally necessary security periods, then deleted or de-identified.
5. Analytics and cookies
IB Wiki uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and similar technologies to collect:
- Pages viewed, time on page and navigation between pages
- Interaction events such as starting to learn, signing in, signing up, and starting or completing a checkout
- Device, browser and operating system information, referring site, and approximate location (country or city) derived from your IP address
IB Wiki does not send your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication codes or payment card details to Google Analytics. In addition to the usage and device information above, a completed-purchase event includes a random checkout reference number, used to avoid double counting, and the currency. URL query parameters and fragments are removed before page addresses are sent, and analytics is not started on pages returning from sign-in or payment with pending values.
Google uses IP addresses to derive approximate location and operate its service, including routing and spam detection, then discards raw IP addresses. Advertising personalization signals are disabled, and IB Wiki does not use analytics data for advertising. User-level and event-level analytics data is retained for up to 14 months before automatic deletion; the retention period for user identifiers may restart when you use the site again. Aggregated reports without personal identifiers may remain. Information collected by Google may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates.
You can refuse or remove analytics cookies at any time by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings, or by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Refusing analytics cookies does not affect your use of IB Wiki. For more information, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
IB Wiki also uses browser storage (such as local storage and session storage) for sign-in, keeping you signed in and preserving your learning state. Separately, session storage records whether a completed-purchase analytics event has already been counted, to avoid counting it twice during the same browser session. This browser storage is not used for advertising.
Optional Meta advertising measurement
With your permission, IB Wiki uses Meta Pixel and the Conversions API to measure advertising performance. The Pixel records page and subject views, completed registrations and the first successful AI question in a browser session. Server registration and question events share a random event identifier with the Pixel to avoid double counting.
Meta may receive the page address without query parameters or fragments, event type, browser and device information, IP address, and advertising cookies such as _fbp and _fbc. We do not send names, email addresses (including hashed emails), account identifiers, questions, answers or Google profile data to Meta. Meta may process this information in other countries under its Privacy Policy.
Meta tracking stays off until you select Allow. Rejecting does not affect access to learning. Use the Ad cookies button at any time to withdraw consent; we then stop sending events and clear our Meta cookies. Browsers requesting Global Privacy Control do not load Meta tracking. Essential sign-in and learning storage continues to work independently.
6. Your rights
